1989 PRS Signature #359 – Grey Black

Super-rare and highly collectible vintage Paul Reed Smith Signature. Prior to the Private Stock being introduced these Signature guitars were the original ‘ultimate quality wood grade’ PRS guitars, and this is 1 of only 1000 Signatures that were ever built.

It is in very good condition for its age, with some wear/blemishes that we’ve highlighted in the photos under direct studio lighting to exaggerate them and make them visible on the photos, however in reality, they are barely noticeable unless searching for them. The frets are in excellent shape and everything works as it should without issue.

The ‘Signature’ was modelled on the Custom 24 and it has a superb flamed top – we have photographed this both in studio, and in natural light as the latter provides a more accurate view of the flame. It has a pattern/thin (slim-medium) profile neck, and a highly desirable Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The HFS/Vintage Bass pickups with ‘sweet switch’ sound fantastic, and the front of the headstock is hand-signed by Paul himself, as opposed to being screen printed like later PRS guitars. Finally it has locking tuners and a tremolo bridge (trem-arm included).
